Mayday Call TUDM Aircraft Landed On Water In Kuala Selangor
A mayday call was received reporting an aircraft emergency landing on water in the vicinity of Kuala Selangor, according to aviation sources this morning.
The military type aircraft CN235 was sighted by local residents who captured the photographs of the emergency landing above.
Aviation sources put the coordinates of the site at N031846 E1011527 in the Kuala Selangor area.
The aircraft sighted is reportedly an Indonesian made model which is smaller that the Charlie C130, which is normally used by the airforce.
We are at present in possession of the crew list but it is pending authorities confirmation before it can be released for publication. According to a statement issued by TUDM (Royal Malaysian Air Force), all crew onboard survived.

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) has also issued a statement confirming the emergency landing and verifying the earlier statement by TUDM that all eight crew members onboard survived and were rescued by local fishermen.

MINDEF also reported that TUDM will be assisting in the recovery of the aircraft.
The emergency landing reportedly occurred at 8:45 am this morning, 26 February.
